About the golf

Lacanau Golf Course unfolds in the heart of a national forest, between the lake and the ocean, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region’s Gironde department. Located an hour away from Bordeaux, it was certified eco-sustainable in 2017. UGOLF has developed an environmental management charter and an “Eco-sustainable UGOLF” label, in partnership with Ecocert, which formally acknowledge our strong environmental performance in the upkeep of our courses: reduced use of chemicals, a water quality and conservation policy, soil protection, maintenance and development of biodiversity, and the list goes on. UGOLF currently has three eco-sustainable golf courses in France: Haras de Jardy, Lacanau and Téoula.

HISTORY

Built on sand in 1980, by John Harris, it boasts unique architectural diversity that will delight any golfer, from beginners to experts.

The course

L’Ardilouse

18 holes: Par 72. Length: 5,934 metres.
L’Ardilouse is a course that guarantees a peaceful change of scenery. Its preserved environment and special climate combine visual enjoyment with enjoyment of the game, in any season of the year.

The UGOLF Academy offers private lessons and group classes, ranging from introductory to advanced, as well as programmes for juniors.

GOLF SCHOOL

The teaching methods at the school are adapted for young players. It is open to children beginning with baby golf and then by skill group from the age of 5 or 6 onward.
