The course
Course
- 18 holes: Par 70
This hilly course stretches 5,207 metres in length. One of its most appealing features is that each hole is completely different from the last. Beginners and seasoned players alike will appreciate this diversity.
Practice areas
• Driving range: 25 bays, including 4 covered
• 9-hole pitch and putt course: Distances varying between 44 and 90 metres. Its very technical par 27 layout pits you against all the different kinds of obstacles you may find on a golf course: roughs, water hazards, bunkers, out of bounds lines and forests.
This accredited course allows golfers with a handicap of 26.5 to 53.5 to be ranked during official competitions and rounds played with parties of 2 or more.

Environmentally friendly golf
Eco-sustainable course
Ammerschwihr Golf Course is extremely biodiverse. It has earned the “Commune Nature” label (with 2 out of a possible 3 dragonflies).
Flora and fauna on the golf course
There are currently no fewer than 33 different species of birds on the property.
To accommodate the course’s irrigation needs, two bodies of water were created. Their eco-sustainable layout enabled an explosion in the site’s population of common toads and common frogs. As a result, Ammerschwihr Golf Course has become a top spot in the region for the reproduction of common toads.
Eco-friendly arrangements
Ammerschwihr Golf Course, has taken many measures to ease the cohabitation of local wildlife with sport facilities, including:
• Cattle grids (rounded bars installed in lines over a pit) and points of entry to the golf course. They discourage wild boar from crossing onto the property and damaging the fairways and greens, but allow cars and golfers to pass over them without any trouble.
• Ecological arrangements like the conservation of dead trees and the installation of nesting boxes have been made to encourage birds to nest, leading to various species making long-term homes for themselves on the course.
• Habitat corridors have been created at strategic locations on the property. Those corridors are not cultivated for a portion of the year, to allow other species of plants to emerge and to make those areas more attractive to certain animals (especially butterflies), further increasing the site’s biodiversity.
